Experiential in Color + Pride in Events

For a more diverse, equitable and inclusive future for events

This June, Event Marketer will recognize individuals who are enriching their organizations with diverse perspectives. The goal: to inspire the industry to continue building a pipeline for the next generation of ethnically diverse leaders and to celebrate and create space for individuals of all identities.

The third-annual Experiential in Color report is designed to boost the visibility of rising stars and leaders of color in the event marketing industry. Our 2023 program will honor brand-side and agency-side event marketers and agency professionals. Experiential in Color shines a spotlight on Black, Brown, Indigenous, Latino, Asian and Pacific Islander event marketers.

New this year, we’re expanding this special issue to share even more diverse perspectives by recognizing event marketers in the LGBTQIA+ community—individuals bringing their whole selves to the workplace and the work. The inaugural Pride in Events list will feature a slate of rising stars and leaders from the brand and agency communities as well.

Criteria for Nominations

For Rising Stars: Director level and below. Open to both brands and agencies. Self-nominations are encouraged. Role must be related to events.

For Leaders: Director level and above. Open to both brands and agencies. Self-nominations are encouraged. Role must be related to events.

*All individuals must have roles that are directly related to events. Honorees may only appear once.
