For a more diverse, equitable and inclusive future for events

Event Marketer’s diversity recognition program designed to recognize and boost the visibility of rising stars of color in the event marketing industry returns for a second year with fresh conversations surrounding talent, diverse campaigns and belonging.

Born out of our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiative developed to identify the disparities that exist for people of color in this industry, our goal with Experiential in Color is to inspire the event marketing industry to continue building a pipeline for the next generation of diverse leaders. Indeed, change often begins at the top.

Last year’s inaugural program addressed remote work, hiring practices and pandemic-acquired skills, and included honorees from Anheuser-Busch, Complex Media, Forbes, General Mills, Google, Oatly, Roc Nation, Salesforce, Vanguard, and Verizon Media.

For 2022, we will honor a slate of brand-side event marketers as well as a slate of agency-side rising stars. Experiential in Color shares the perspectives of and shines a spotlight on Black, Brown, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian and Pacific Islander junior talent.

Criteria for Nominations: Director level and below. Open to both brands and agencies. Self-nominations are encouraged.
